VINYL SIGNS & DESIGNS was established over 30 years ago by Paul & Val Richardson as Commercial Vehicle Signwriters. We specialise in the manufacturing and fitting vehicle liveries to Trucks, Vans and Trailers.

We principally work for Fleet Operators, Franchised Commercial Vehicle Dealerships, Contract Hire Companies, County and Borough Councils, Public Utility Companies, Mini-bus operators, Distribution Companies, Vehicle Repairers and local Kent businesses with small to medium fleets of vehicles. In 1986 we started using the then new medium of computer-cut lettering instead of traditional hand signwriting, under a local government “Start-up” scheme in the Kent Medway Towns aimed to support the formation of new local businesses.

After moving from Gillingham in 1989, we operated from Chart Sutton nr Maidstone until 2007, when we moved to a new industrial unit in Headcorn, which is situated just off the A274 between Maidstone and Tenderden Nr. Ashford in Kent.

All the sign products we manufacture, including Chevron kits are applied by a team of fully trained fitters throughout Kent and Greater London. We also cover all the areas around the M25 corridor, including East and West Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire, Middlesex, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex.

Our fully equipped and signwritten vans all carry Class 1 Industrial access equipment, have on-board generators and all the relevant tools to complete the work efficiently. Our fitters are uniformed and have PPE safety helmets / boots / reflective clothing, as well as all other necessary safety equipment to protect both them and your safe working environment. Any waste we create is removed from site, and disposed of in the authorised way.

We do not use sub-contractors and we have full Public / Employee Liability Insurance in place, copies are available here and in each van. For all customers, particularly County Councils and Public Utility Companies, we can provide full Method Statements for all the work we do.
